Morning fellow crafters!

I wanted to share with you this little card I made using

"Floating away" by Katie Sowa, from Whimzy Stamps.

This cute little fairy is one of her September's new digi release.

She's hanging from a pod blown away in the wind... too cute!

I colored her with Copic markers, the DPs are from "Scrap Mode".

I added lace, stickles and white crushed velvet to keep the pods

and flower fluffy. Since this card was designed for the

montly challenge at Whimzy Stamps,

I made sure to include pearls.

A few cards I made ...

Kids are back to school this morning... feels a bit weird to me...

The mother in me feels sad somehow that they wont be around as much,

but the crafter in me is also happy to get back into my crafting routine :)

Here are few cards I made that I wanted to share with you...

The first one was made using "Three little pigs" and the sentiment

is from the "Garden Bun Bun Fairy Sentiments"

both available at Whimsy Stamps

The image was colored with copic markers, I added paper flowers and leaves.

The punched border was made with a Martha Stewart punch.

For the second one, I used "Miss Innocent" and the

saying is from the "Love me anyways" sentiment pack,

both available at Whimsy Stamps

The image was colored with copic markers. I added stickles, peel-offs

and ribbon. I rounded the corners on the card itself and used a

decorative corner punch on the DP.

And for my last one, I used "Professor Owl" and

the saying is from the "Graduation sentiments "

both available at Whimsy Stamps.

I colored it with copic markers. I added a touch of Diamond glaze

to the glasses to render the lens, ribbon, stickles and corner peel-offs.

So for my card I had a play with that cute fellow: "Augustus the Dragon"

and used a sentiment from the "Knights and Dragons" sentiment set.

He was colored with Copics, and I added some bling,

lace trim, die-cuts and paper flowers :)

A beautiful Butterfly....

Morning all,

Just tought I would share a "Happy Birthday" card I made

using the "Rose Butterfly" digital stamp from

by Crissy Armstrong, which is available here in
Whimsy Stamps's store...

This image is absolutely gorgeous and soooooooo versatile!

The level of details in it and those roses are just perfect!

I did not add much to it for I did not want the eye to be drawn

away from the butterfly... just a tad of bling and peel-offs corners.

I colored it with Copic markers and "stippled " with the

colorless blender to texture and finished it off with "Diamond stickles".

Hi all,

I made this card today using the "Fairy" digital stamp from Digital Delights by Looby Loo.
I just love her she's so pretty with her wand and crown....

She was colored with Copics, I added bling, lace trim, paper flowers, satin ribbon, stickles, machine stitching and inked with peeled paint distress ink. Papers are from K&Company and Harmonie - Envolée Printanière. I also used Staples white cardstock.

I have been looking into candle decorating this week. It is a popular technique in the stamping world, but did you know you can do it with your digital images too? You sure can!!!

There is a challenge on Simply Scrapping Crafts, for which they provide a template to create a paper iris and use it on the card. Simple and fun little challenge, here is my card:

The saying is in french, but reads: "May this day bring you all the things that make you smile"

What fun I had creating this page using some of Wendy' digital stamps!

As soon as I saw Bryce in his little car, I knew he would be just perfect for the pictures I had taken of my sons playing in one! (that was a while back! lol)

I used "Bryce in car" and "Elvin the toad background"

I started by picking Bryce for the reasons above, then when I saw the sign post in "Elvin the toad background" I knew this had to be incorporated.

Here is a "Girly" card I made using the sweet Tilda. This one is from Magnolia's "Raising the Ceiling" collection. I embroidered the background and made the darker roses myself using punched shapes out of mulberry paper.

This time around I have decided to paint her using distress inks (Tim Holtz) on watercolor paper.

I had fun creating this card. This type of card was new to me and is called an easel card. It stands proud to show of your decoration, but lays back flat to slide in the envelope! I used a digital stamp called "Flying High Ridley" from Digital Delights by Louby Loo and the sentiment is also from them. They were both offered as a freebie yesterday and I teamed it with their weekly sketch. Love the results!!!

Isnt this little monkey just too cute? I immediately tought of a Father's day card with masculine tones...

The little monkey is a free digital stamp called "Monkey Topper" - Digital Delights by Louby Loo which you will find here on their group. (look in the discussions section...Friday Freebies)

I colored it with Copics (3 images), then I 3D decoupaged them. I also used the digital stamp to create a matching backing paper.

Bobbin lace trims

Many Magnolia card makers are using bobbin lace trims on their cards (see an example here) and it is such an awsome decoration that I decided to take my bolster out and make myself some... here is the trim I am actually working on:

Dont let the number of pins on the pillow impress you... it is fairly easy to make and very relaxing too! :)

Here is my latest card. It was made for a friend who moved to another city. I entered it for a Copic coloring challenge, but it was not chosen.

The image is "Charleston Tilda" from Magnolia's "Raising the ceiling" collection and was colored with Copics, along with the pin. The white paper trim was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch.

I was looking to join a DT for a stamp company and came accross Whimsy Stamps DT call...

I browsed through their designs and found that I really like their style (they are very cute!), so I decided to go for it and apply. Naturally, they are requesting to see some previous work, so I am posting a few cards I have made with stamped images, to give them an idea.

I'm hoping for the best!!!

Online classes for Copic Markers...

I developped a passion for those markers that are the latest rage in cardmaking and scrapbooking.

I so love my copics! I have been using them for a while now for coloring my stamped and digital images, either for cardmaking or to decorate my pages. But I was looking for ways to improve my coloring skills and wanted it to be online, and within my budget. Took me quite some time to find but I did!!!!

Suzanne Dean has set up online classes that you can follow at your own pace, with detailed videos and class notes. You can upload pictures of your assignments and she comments on it and makes suggestions on what to improve if needed. Pretty cool hey?

She must charge a lot for them you think? Absolutely not! For about 40-45$ a class (she's got 4 levels) you get wayyyyyyyy more information, visuals etc.

Mine is about my cat, Molly when she was just a kitten. We got her when she was 4 weeks old! I bottle fed her for a week! She's grown a lot since then!

Une nouvelle passion: le tricotin

On croirait retomber en enfance.... le tricotin c'est vraiment plaisant et même mon plus jeune en fait avec moi!
Avec cet outil, on peut créér une multitude de projets a porter ou pour la maison.
Il y a les tricotins standards en longeur, les tricotins ronds...ceux-ci sont disponibles chez Walmart et dans la pluspart des boutiques de tricot:

et il y a ma toute dernière découverte: les métiers a fleurs!!!!

Je m'amuse présentement sur le premier et j'ai commandé le 2e qui permet une multitude de modèles différents...j'ai bien hâte de le recevoir!

Je prépare des rosettes que j'assemble au fur et a mesure (en regardant la télé...) et ca commence a prendre forme:

Le crochet dans le scrapbooking...

Je me suis rendue compte récemment que le crochet... ou plus précisément les fleurs au crochet sont très populaires dans les pages de scrapbooking!

Ca ajoute une belle petite touche "retro" aux cartes et aux pages.
Donc j'ai fouillé un peu sur internet afin de dénicher des patrons...
